The RolleifleXperience

"Wow... is that your granddad's camera?!?" I heard that one day when I was walking around with my Rolleiflex Twin Lens Reflex camera. My favourite piece of gear. Only 12 frames per film, a square image, looking from above and no unnecessary bells and whistles. It has only one fixed lens and that's it (actually two lenses, but one is for viewing and focusing only). Plain simplicity, no batteries needed. Capturing pictures like this is a complete different experience compared to using modern digital cameras. I call it the RolleifleXperience! It may not produce technically perfect pictures, but the joy and pleasure it delivers is priceless.
